Business/Real Estate

Woodson has been a realtor in Charlotte since 2002. A Top producing realtor with Allen Tate, Re/Max, Keller Williams, EXP, she now owns her own Boutique Firm, Woodson Bradley Real Estate.  In 2009 she was featured in a GoldLine Research study published in the 2009 December issue of Forbes Magazine as the Most Dependable Realtor on the East Coast. 

 

Woodson has a Master Negotiator Designation as well as being a Luxury Specialist.  Owning a small business drives her to strengthen the local economy and she is always looking for ways to improve the business climate in Charlotte.  A robust Charlotte economy, infrastructure, public schools, and opportunities for families to thrive here are some of her biggest motivations to continue being active within the community.

Family

Woodson is a domestic violence survivor and was a single mother for a while with two children.  She understands the challenges of being a single parent and she also understands the issues surrounding the need for social services.  She and her children were clients of Mecklenburg Social Services, the Hero Program for Youth, Pat’s Place, the Mecklenburg Sheriff’s Office, Charlotte Metro Police Department, and Mecklenburg County Community Support Services. 

 

Woodson is happily married to William and they have a blended family together with three children – Shannon, Stone, and Carter.  They live in the Ballantyne area of Charlotte.

YMCA

Woodson is a vibrant group fitness instructor and ambassador for the Greater Charlotte YMCA.  She has been a fitness/dance instructor for over 25 years and loves bringing energy to her students.  She teaches Zumba and Cardio Dance to large and small classes.  She even is approved to teach fitness to students in the CMS Elementary, Middle, and High Schools across Charlotte! 

 

Movement is the #1 start to a fitness journey and the #1 key to maintaining fitness throughout your life.  Music, laughter, learning, dance, movement, and fellowship is what Woodson fosters across the YMCA centers in the greater Charlotte region.

Love Speaks Out

Woodson is a speaker and classroom instructor/facilitator for Love Speaks Out.  She is one of 10 certified speakers for Mecklenburg County Domestic Violence Speakers Bureau. LoveSpeaksOut is a Teen Dating Violence prevention program that seeks a future without dating abuse and domestic violence.

 

LoveSpeaksOut provides engaging, dynamic presentations that makes the information relatable and understandable for teens. These presentations are offered to 7th, 8th, and 9th grade health classes in the CMS School System and also community events and churches.

Faith

Woodson is a life-long Episcopalian and is proud of her time serving on the Vestry at All Saints’ Episcopal Church in Concord from 2013-2016 where she voted, supported, planned,  and helped make the first secular public school find a home in an active church building for a Head Start program. 

 

She and her family are now members of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Charlotte and her children are active in the Youth Group.  ALL are welcome in her faith journey and she loves meeting and speaking with people of all faiths.  You will see her each year at Pride on the lawn at St. Peter’s handing out water and FREE MOM HUGS to ALL.  She will be the first to share – ALL means ALL.

Mecklenburg County Domestic Violence Speakers Bureau

Woodson’s father was a career Social Worker who moved into Juvenile Counseling and Probation for over 35 years.  Social Service has been in her life since she was a child and she never thought she and her children would be clients navigating the entire social service system. 

 

Woodson is extremely proud and honored to a speaker for the MCDVSB and has given speeches for awareness, her personal survivor story, how to navigate the “system” and create a safety plan, and domestic violence prevention and awareness across the region.  She spoke to the students at UNCC and inspired the Greek System (fraternities and sororities) to become active in the prevention and awareness campaigns on campus to prevent Dating Violence.  She has spoken to large organizations like the Charlotte Women’s Club, churches, church youth groups, CPCC, Rotary, Safe Alliance, Jamie Kimble Foundation for Courage, and the MOMO (Mother’s Of Murdered Offspring) Family Reunion.
